Edge Products Releases Optional Backup Camera For Its Award-Winning A2 Diesel Controller

The Edge Products A2 diesel monitor/controller/information center rocked the diesel world when it won a Best New Product award at the 2004 SEMA show. Since then, the revolutionary device has continued to impress, thanks to features like on-the-fly control of Edge’s Juice five-stage Power Module, a large color LCD monitor that displays virtual gauges, and TomTom’s® award-winning GPS navigational mapping. Now, Edge has unveiled one of the A2’s most important features: a color infrared “night vision” backup camera.

This high-resolution infrared LED camera allows drivers to see objects up to 30 feet away in total darkness. It’s an invaluable safety tool providing an unobstructed view for backing up, hooking up trailers and viewing loads, trailers and traffic while you drive. It easily and securely mounts above the license plate to the license plate hardware. A quick-release lock-and-key mechanism allows removal for safe storage in seconds. The camera also features a magnetic base allowing it to be used in many locations.

Current A2 users can upgrade by purchasing the camera and locking mount for a suggested retail price of $299, or it may be purchased as a complete package with the A2 monitor/controller.

Edge Products also manufactures plug-in modules, programmers, and in-cab controllers for popular late-model domestic diesel trucks, vans and motorhomes.
