Jeep and diesel enthusiasts around the world were excited when Daimler-Chrysler announced the availability of an optional diesel engine in the new Jeep Liberty. Unfortunately, the driving experience didn’t live up to most people’s expectations – poor off-idle response and the ability to accelerate without downshifting were common complaints. Edge Products has solved those issues with its new Jeep Liberty EZ plug-in control module that provides an additional 25 horsepower and 40 ft. lbs. of torque – increasing bottom-end response and driveability at all speeds. Towing capability has been greatly increased too, making the 5000-pound rating less of a strain.
The Edge EZ module fits all Jeep Liberty Common Rail Diesels, and installation is a quick, plug-n-play operation. A toggle switch allows you to switch-on-the-fly between three power levels: Stock, Level 1 (towing), Level 2 (max power). With 185hp and 355 ft. lbs. of torque on tap, many EZ users have noticed increases in fuel mileage too, due to higher engine efficiency and the ability to maintain cruising speeds using less throttle.
Edge Products also manufactures plug-in modules, programmers, and in-cab controllers for popular late-model domestic diesel trucks, vans and motorhomes.
